Hot summer on the slag from Iasi! Huge names of world tennis are expected at the "Iași Open" ATP Challenger 100 and WTA 250 tournaments. Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray, Simona Halep or Angelique Kerber could play in Moldova

 

Iași will also be on the world tennis map in 2024, even taking the step to a higher level. After four editions of the ATP Challenger 100 and two years of WTA 125 tournaments, the "Iași Open" license holders came, on Thursday, with huge news for tennis fans in Romania.

This year, the women's tournament will take a step forward and will be at the 250-point level. A premiere not only for Iasi, but also for our country, being the only one of this category on clay in Romania. And the second WTA 250 from us, after the Transylvania Open from Cluj-Napoca, on indoor hard.
